Let’s introduce myself: My name is Harry van Barreveld. Also known in the koi-world as Harry B and Sempai Harry San. I was born in 1949 and am living in the Netherlands in Brabant at this moment. Together with my wife Tilly. My biggest passion since several years is Koi. I own a pound in my backgarden iwith several beautiful fish. Since I was a young boy I am into animals I started with sportfishing together with my father when I was 6 years. I still go fishing, but at this moment it is only for hobby. I did joined many contest with fishing. In 1978 I decided to start a new hobby and I started breeding with canary's. Together with a friend living nearby I founded a association and I was a conducting-member untill 2001. I also have been a jury-member for checking the birds. At this moment I do a lot in Koi-bussines. I help other people with building pounds, give advices when people need advice and help in any way I can. All this makes my life a nice life with lots of variety. I can call it an interesting life. At last I want to say that when you look at the pictures of our fishes that not all fish ar as "great" as you might think. But my opinio is that you, as owner of the fish, must like and love your fish, either other people like them or don't like them. I wish you lots of Koi-fun! Greetings, Harry B. |
